Spectrum AquaPrint Natural Filament 1.75mm – 0.5kg

Spectrum AquaPrint Natural is a specialized water-soluble support filament developed for complex dual-extrusion and multi-material 3D printing applications. Designed to simplify support removal, AquaPrint dissolves in cold water, allowing users to create intricate geometries, internal channels, moving assemblies, and hard-to-reach features that would otherwise be difficult or impossible to print with conventional support structures.

Unlike traditional PVA-based support materials, AquaPrint offers nearly four times higher flow performance and dissolves approximately twice as fast, helping reduce print times and post-processing effort. Its excellent adhesion to PLA, PETG, PA (Nylon), and TPU makes it an ideal support solution for a wide range of engineering, prototyping, and production workflows.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Water-soluble support material for dual-extrusion printing
  • Dissolves in cold water for easy support removal
  • Nearly 4× higher flow rate than conventional PVA support materials
  • Dissolves approximately twice as fast as PVA-based supports
  • Excellent bonding to PLA, PETG, PA, and TPU
  • Biodegradable material
  • High structural rigidity for reliable feeding
  • Suitable for Bowden and direct-drive systems
  • Excellent thermal stability during long prints
  • Supports complex geometries and internal structures
  • Produces cleaner surface finishes on supported areas
  • Simplifies post-processing for difficult models
  • Compatible with AMS-equipped printers and multi-material systems

Printability and Support Performance

Spectrum AquaPrint is engineered specifically as a support filament rather than a model-building material. Its high rigidity improves filament transport and reduces feeding issues commonly associated with softer water-soluble support materials.

The material provides stable support structures throughout the printing process and exhibits excellent adhesion to a variety of commonly used model materials. Once printing is complete, supports can be dissolved in cold water, eliminating the need for manual removal in difficult-to-access locations.

This makes AquaPrint particularly valuable for:

  • Complex overhangs
  • Internal cavities
  • Mechanical assemblies
  • Interlocking parts
  • Organic geometries
  • Detailed engineering prototypes
  • Models with inaccessible support locations

Typical Applications and Use Cases

Spectrum AquaPrint is ideal for:

  • Multi-material FDM printing
  • Water-soluble support structures
  • Complex engineering prototypes
  • Functional mechanical assemblies
  • Internal channels and ducts
  • Architectural models
  • Medical and educational models
  • Product development prototypes
  • Organic and sculptural designs
  • Precision manufacturing fixtures
  • Aerospace and automotive prototyping

Its ability to dissolve completely allows users to create parts with significantly greater design freedom than traditional breakaway support materials.
