Optimizing Your P2S Experience
To ensure a premium experience for our early adopters, the Updated Rear Panel is now available as a complimentary option. While newer P2S units include this panel pre-installed, both versions are fully compatible with the External Exhaust Fan Kit.
How to Choose: Please identify your panel version via the [Bambu Lab Wiki] before ordering:
1. If you have the Updated Rear Panel: You only need the External Exhaust Fan Kit.
2. If you have the Original Rear Panel:
- Recommended: Add the Updated Rear Panel with External Exhaust Fan Kit for optimized exhaust efficiency.
- Standard: The External Exhaust Fan Kit can also be installed directly onto your original rear panel if standard performance meets your needs.
Overview
1. The P2S Printer comes with a built-in recirculating air filtration system as standard, which relies on an internal activated carbon filter to purify the air inside the printing chamber. Designed specifically for users with strict exhaust requirements, the External Exhaust Fan Kit adds an active external exhaust function to the P2S after installation, delivering more efficient directional air extraction performance.
2. This kit achieves seamless integration with the printer. Once installed, the printer can automatically switch its operating mode based on the type of filament being used. Meanwhile, users can also manually adjust the operating mode via the printer’s touchscreen, Bambu Studio software, or Bambu Handy mobile app.
3. With the kit installed, the P2S gains an automatic post-print air purification feature. For engineering-grade filaments that require enclosed printing (such as ABS, PA, etc.), simply enable the "Purify Air After Printing" option in the printer’s settings menu. The P2S will then automatically activate the external exhaust mode upon print completion, thoroughly expelling any residual fumes from the chamber.
4. The External Exhaust Fan Kit supports expandable air filter cartridges, which are available for optional purchase according to users' needs.
5. If you own the P2S Printer without AMS, you will need to purchase an additional buffer accessory to use this exhaust fan kit.
