What is PC+ filament used for?

PC+ filament is commonly used for engineering prototypes, tooling, mechanical components, enclosures, and durable functional 3D printed parts.

Is PC+ stronger than PLA and PETG?

Yes, PC+ generally offers greater impact resistance, heat resistance, and mechanical durability than standard PLA and PETG materials.

Does PC+ require a heated bed?

Yes, a heated bed is strongly recommended to improve bed adhesion and reduce warping during printing.

Is an enclosed printer recommended for PC+?

Yes, enclosed printers help maintain stable chamber temperatures and improve print consistency with polycarbonate-based materials.

What temperature should PC+ filament be printed at?

PC+ commonly prints between 260°C and 300°C depending on printer capability and print settings.

Does PC+ absorb moisture?

Yes, PC+ can absorb moisture from the air, so dry storage is recommended to maintain optimal print quality and extrusion consistency.

Can PC+ filament be printed on standard desktop 3D printers?

PC+ requires a printer capable of high extrusion temperatures and is best suited for machines with all-metal hotends and heated beds.

What are the advantages of PC+ filament?

PC+ offers strong layer adhesion, excellent durability, improved heat resistance, and high mechanical strength for demanding applications.
