Filament Spectrum ABS GP450

Industrial grade ABS optimized for 3D printing

Spectrum ABS GP450 is an industrial grade, construction filament for 3D printing. It is a material with an amorphous structure, its popularity is due to high impact strength, hardness, and relatively high scratch resistance. Spectrum ABS GP450 is very useful for printing durable and impact resistant parts. The composition of the material – compared to classic ABS – has been optimized for additive manufacturing, what allows to print at a very high speed (up to 200mm/s) without any mechanical properties losses. Another very important aspect is the ease of breaking off the support structures. In addition, Spectrum ABS GP450 exhibits improved adhesion of the first layer to the 3D printer build plate, thanks to this, strong warping effect has been reduced, as well as the model curling at the edges.

Good mechanical properties, especially high deformability of the material and its high impact strength will allow the production of static and dynamic load-bearing parts in various designs. The very good insulating properties of the Spectrum ABS GP450 filament allows to print parts that protect against electric current, while the relatively high hardness allows to print tools and devices used in assembly or serial production.

ABS GP450 exhibits much higher mechanical strength than other similar materials available on the market.

Packaging

Filament wound on a transparent PC spool. The spool contains information about the type of material, diameter and recommended printing temperature. Each reel is packed in aluminium vacuum bag with ZIP lock with a silica gel inside.

VERIFY YOUR SPOOL

– the most precise quality control system on the market
Filament for 3D printers is manufactured by the method of free extrusion, which is one of the most difficult processing techniques by extrusion, due to the particularly large impact of process parameters on product dimensions and material homogenization.

During the production each 1mm of Spectrum Filament is being continuously measured in 2 axis with ±0.8µm accuracy, what allows to obtain a high-quality final product. As a proof of this, Spectrum Filaments has introduced, as one of the few manufacturers in the world, the possibility of presenting online, individually for each manufactured spool:

  • the course of diameter on the entire length of the spool,
  • mean diameter,
  • ovality,
  • standard deviation.

Precise survey guarantees that Spectrum Filaments products meet rigorous market requirements.
