FluorX™ PVDF 3D Printing Filament
Exceptional Thermal & Chemical Resistance for Extreme Applications
FluorX™ PVDF (Polyvinylidene Fluoride) is a high-performance polymer engineered for demanding applications requiring superior thermal stability and chemical resistance.
Designed to withstand temperatures up to 150°C, this filament excels in extreme environments, offering exceptional resistance to most chemicals and solvents, making it ideal for industrial, automotive, and scientific applications.
Key Benefits of FluorX™ PVDF
✔ High Thermal Stability – Continuous use up to 150°C
✔ Outstanding Chemical Resistance – Withstands exposure to automotive fluids, oils, lubricants, acids, bases, alcohols, fully halogenated hydrocarbons, and more
✔ Non-Hygroscopic – Does not absorb moisture; no drying required
✔ UV & Weather Resistant – Inherently UV-stable with strong H-F bonds
✔ Low Smoke & Flame Retardant – Base resin rated V-0 for flame resistance
✔ Hydrolytic & Radiation Stability – Long-term resistance to hydrolysis and nuclear radiation
✔ Superior Abrasion Resistance – Comparable to Nylon and UHMW-PE for high-wear applications
Recommended Print Settings
- Extruder Temperature: 245–265°C (Some printers may require up to 280°C)
- Bed Temperature: 90–110°C
- Heated Chamber: Not required
- Cooling Fan: Off or low-speed
- Print Speed: 40-60 mm/s (starting point)
- Bed Adhesion: Nano Polymer Adhesive recommended
Additional Notes
- No Special Nozzle Requirements
- Supports: Works well with break-away supports
- Drying: Not needed – PVDF does not absorb moisture
- Safety Caution: Do not exceed 290°C to prevent polymer degradation, off-gassing, and mechanical property loss.
