Carbon fibre print bed is working great, upgraded from magnetic bed. Surface leaves a shiny finish on prints. Have had to increase bed temp for PLA from 60*C to 65*C to maintain good adhesion

I've been using this plate for several months and several hundred hours of printing. There are three main reasons this is better than my stock Ender 3 Pro magnetic bed: 1) Excellent bed adhesion (sometimes too good!). Although I recommend using the Elmer's Disappearing Purple glue stick every now and then to keep the adhesion (it's also sold by 3DPC) 2) it's flat! There are not any slight changes in depth across the entire surface unlike others 3) even heat throughout the plate. The whole plate heats up evenly so there are not hot/cold spots Of note it creates a smooth, almost glossy finish to the first layer of the print that I'm trying to show in the attached photo. This may be desired or not depending on your print

Morning! I purchased an Ender 5 Pro last December. I had very little prior experience with 3D printing. I immediately started printing a 1.2m sailplane. The biggest problem I encountered was with the wing sections warping! Very frustrating to say the least. PJ from your store recommended the new 4mm carbon fibre build plate. I was skeptical but bought it, took it home, installed it, reset the Z end stop, re-levelled the bed. Wow! What a difference! Absolutely no more warping of the wing sections! Before printing, I use the Elmers washable purple glue stick on the build plate. When I'm finished, after removing the print, I use a warm washcloth and wipe down the build plate. Easy peasy! The parts adhere so well in fact, it can be a challenge getting them to release! Go figure! : ) Regards, Lyle

I love it. It's FLAT (unlike my Ender 5's original bed) and it distributes heat evenly as shown by my thermal camera (but I could only post one picture, however). I tried my best to get PLA to stick to it without using an adhesive, but I've come to the conclusion that Elmer's Glue Sticks are a must. Mind you, once you apply a thin coat of Elmer's (which will last for multiple prints), the grip of the Elmer's combined with the flat, smooth finish of the plate, make it the better than glass. Removal is fairly easy using a spatula and a small hammer.

My Ender3 v2 glass bed was badly dipped in the center, and I manage to salvage it by shimming it and clamping the corners. It was ok, but not good enough everytime OCD kicked in when I leveled it. Then I saw this beauty while looking at other stuff and had to get it. Then I saw the video and told myself it would probably be good in the long run as I experiment with materials!! It is a very nive piece of carbon fiber and works very nicely for printing so far. Mine is ever so slighty a bit shy of perfectly flat, but I'm extremly picky it's almost an illness. I had to change my habits. On the carborundum Creality bed, I was printing PLA on a clean bed with good results MOST of the times, and I was very happy to just give a quick wipe with IPA (not the beer). On this one, it's a no go as it won't stick at all, but it only needs a very light coat of the trusty Elmer's purple glue stick. To me, it is truly an upgrade to the stock printing surface and I recommend it!
